Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief - The gods of Olympus are alive in the 21st Century. I really wish I hadn't of watched the movie before reading the book because they are very different, and it kind of threw me off. Despite that fact, I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait until we start book two. I am sure I will enjoy it even more since I won't have a movie version to screw things up.
Knights of the Silver Dragon: The Riddle in the Stone - Watchers are disappearing. Moyra's dad is acting crazy. And a suspicious stranger races through town, her face hidden beneath a rustling hood. Something's wrong in Curston, and Kellach thinks the new statue in Main Square is a clue. But can the Knights unravel the statue's riddle before it's too late?
As Scott and I get more into reading different series to Zoey, this is becoming by far my favorite series, and this book is probably my favorite in the series so far.
Thank You for Being My Friend - Cleo has a new bedroom and it seems scary. It's full of strange shadows and noises. But there's no such thing as monsters ... or is there? My mom just sent this book to Zoey for part of her Easter present. It is a really cute book and I think Zoey will really like it as she gets older
All The Ways I Love You - We bought this recordable book for Zoey for Valentine's Day. Scott and I each took a turn recording a page. I thought this would be a great alternative for the nights Scott works late and isn't home in time for Zoey's bedtime. She really loves it and it will calm her down if she is having a fit. However, I went to read it the other night and it stopped working. Hopefully we can contact Hallmark and either find a solution (I really hope so since she likes it so much) or get a refund (It was kind of expensive).
Goosebumps: Welcome to Dead House - 11-year-old Josh and 12-year-old Amanda just moved into the oldest and weirdest house on the block--the two siblings think it might even be haunted! But of course, their parents don't believe them. You'll get used to it, they say. Go out and make some new friends. But the creepy kids are not like anyone Josh and Amanda have ever met before. And when they take a shortcut through the cemetery one night, Josh and Amanda learn why.
Scott bought me a good portion of the Goosebumps books as a Christmas present. I enjoyed these when I was in middle school and wanted Zoey to get a chance to enjoy them as well. Of course they might be a little bit to scary for her once she gets old enough to understand them so they will have to be put away for a few years.

This particular Goosebumps book wasn't a big hit with me. It just wasn't very exciting.
Princess Valentine - This is another book that Zoey got from her grandma. Of the two books she got for Valentine's Day, this is my least favorite. It does have some colorful artwork and Zoey seemed to enjoy looking at it.
Where is Baby's Valentine? - This is a book that my mom sent to Zoey for Valentine's day and we have been reading it before nap time. It is a pretty simple flip book. Zoey isn't quite old enough to really enjoy the flip component of it, but I think she will like that when she is a little older. I like the book becasue she is making a Valentine for Mommy. LOL!
Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians - A hero with an incredible talent...for breaking things. A life-or-death mission...to rescue a bag of sand. A fearsome threat from a powerful secret network...the evil Librarians. Alcatraz Smedry doesn't seem destined for anything but disaster. On his 13th birthday he receives a bag of sand, which is quickly stolen by the cult of evil Librarians plotting to take over the world. The sand will give the Librarians the edge they need to achieve world domination. Alcatraz must stop them!...by infiltrating the local library, armed with nothing but eyeglasses and a talent for klutziness.
After finishing this book, I can still say that I am not a huge fan. It's not a bad book or anything. I just found it kind of boring. I'm sure we will probably end up reading more in the series since Scott enjoys it.
Snuggle Up, Sleepy Ones - It's about all the animals in the jungle settling down for the night. Pretty basic children's book. The artwork is really colorful and well done. Zoey really seems to like the colors in this book

His spiritkeeper is missing, and only Moyra, Kellach, and Driskoll know how to find it. Deep in the Dungeons of Doom, they must outsmart a zombie, goblins, even an owlbear. But can the Knights unlock the secret of the spiritkeeper in time to save their friend?
We were lucky enough to find this book at Half Price Books, which allowed us to start the series at the beginning once Zoey was here and we started regular story time as part of her bedtime routine. Again, this was a very good book. Zoey seemed to be listening intently during story time.

The stranger wants only one thing in exchange for his luxurious winter supplies . . . from Moyra. Will Moyra sacrifice her secret to save the town?
This was another one that Scott read to Zoey before she was born. This one started off a little slow for me, but I ended up really enjoying it. Zoey would do a lot of kicking during story time, so I think she liked it as well.
Knights of the Silver Dragon: Eye of Fortune - The Knights are headed back to the Dungeons of Doom, this time in search of buried treasure. But they aren't alone. Two half-orcs and a mysterious girl want to find the fortune first. The half-orcs are hostile. And the girl hides a secret that could endanger them all.
Scott read this book to Zoey back when she was just Monkey in my tummy. This was our first introduction to the characters Moyra, Kellach, and Driskoll. I personally found the book very entertaining. Zoey wasn't in a position to give her opinion yet.
