T is for Temperance

Let me introduce everyone to Temperance or Tempe

She is an almost 3 year old Black Lab Mix. We aren't sure what she is mixed with, but basically she looks like a black lab, who is turning a little bit brown, with some white areas on her. Also, whatever she is mixed with must have been on the smaller size, because Tempe only weighs about half what a black lab normally would.

Tempe was the first animal Scott and I ever adopted together. We knew going into it that we wanted a black lab, so we searched Pet Finder to find one in our area and then drove out the the shelter to see what they had. Tempe was in the outside run with her sister, who looked just like her but didn't have any white on her (at that time, Tempe just had a white paw). Both Tempe and her sister were super cute and friendly, but we picked Tempe due to the white paw.

The name Temperance comes from a TV show that both Scott and I really enjoy, Bones. She has a lot of nicknames (like all of our animals), but the most common are T, Mompers, and Temomperance. She comes to all of them.

Tempe is a super friendly dog. She is great with all of the other animals. Her best friend is probably, Wimbley, the cat. They cuddle like crazy. She also love to wrestle and play with Rhino, and sometimes Sadie. She loves playing fetch. Tempe is extremely afraid of storms and hates water. I think it's probably related to the fact that she was kept outside when she was at the shelter.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of Temperance

(Trying to get her used to water. It didn't work)
